A Story of Transforming Grace

Cherrie writes about her impossible search for a “Norman Rockwell” life with humor and candor. She is transparent about who she was and is. It is quite a ride and a true one. I identified with Cherrie in so many ways, although our paths have been quite different. The book is almost impossible to put down! It is literally true. With each chapter, the reader needs to hear more of her story of hurricanes, well-meant but wrong decisions, and redemption at the hands of a God that never lets go and forgives us when we cannot forgive ourselves.

I had trouble putting this book down! Cherrie is so transparent, funny and thought-provoking all at the same time! Some people are just gifted writers and you can see this right from the beginning in COVERED. I love the way God always shows up for us regardless of how we show our love for Him. I think everyone will see themselves in this very personal story somewhere along the line. I loved it!

I have experienced my hurricanes...and still do. Cherrie’s story assured me God is always there at the beginning, through the storm and as I pick up the pieces. She is an excellent storyteller. I knew as I read she was transparent and humble and honest and speaking purely from her heart...exactly as God had instructed her to. This is a book I will read again and again.

This story is so inspiring and so honest. I love that Cherrie shares her heart even when it’s painful in hopes of encouraging others to face their own hurricanes. Most importantly she gives us all hope that joy can be found even in the midst of our brokenness and that God has a plan for each and every one of us.
